Goals:
to create a lasting impact on the community through food; and as such, sustainable food production with attention to reducing waste products, preservation, recycling, and upcycling
Resolution:
the use of bioclimatic and hydroponic greenhouses is very innovate and designed very aesthetically

1b.) GROW; Madeline Hope Engen
Goals:
addressing Inuit food insecurity in the far North
Resolution:
adaptive reuse of the existing industrial building into a distribution center
the centrally located greenhouse is a really nice focal point of entrance to the site
constructing the main building of thick insulating strawbale and polycarbonate

2a.) Mud City: Bioregions, Ecotopes and Atmospheres; Margit Kraft & Toby O’Connor
The use of shadows to emphasize the play on light within the project is a very nice touch
The designs of the printed patterns are very unique as well
The use of so many physical models as a visual aid to the project is a helpful idea



2b.) Weathering Time; Maria Fulford & Jorg Majer
The detail displayed in the renderings is very intricate
The graphic style used to render looks very nice, detailed, and realistic without being too distracting
The detail and intricacy shown in the physical model is amazing. It shows patience and attention to detail
